General Information

De Hallen Haarlem is the museum for modern and contemporary art in Haarlem. 
Two times a year, De Hallen Haarlem organises a cluster of exhibitions dealing with current developments in the visual arts. In them, the museum offers a platform for artists from the Netherlands and other countries, with the accent on photography and video art.
The large annual summer exhibition at De Hallen Haarlem draws from its own collection of classic modern art and provides viewing pleasure for a wide audience.


De Hallen Haarlem is wheelchair accessible.

Getting there:

Just a 10-minute walk into the town centre from the train station. 
There are two car parks within walking distance: De Appelaar and De Kamp.

Open Tuesday-Saturday 11:00 - 17:00
Closed on Mondays
Sundays and bank holidays 12:00 - 17:00
Closed on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day
5, 24 December and on New Year’s Eve the museum closes at 16:00

Due to the redesign of the museum and the installation of the new exhibition, both locations of the museum will be closed for a short period of time.
De Hallen Haarlem will be closed from 12 March until 30 March 2018
The Frans Hals Museum will be closed from 19 March until 30 March 2018

Admission tickets are valid for both De Hallen Haarlem and the Frans Hals Museum. A surcharge of € 5.00 for The Art of Laughter: Humour in the Golden Age at the Frans Hals Museum is not included in the above mentioned prices.
